Types of Braces

At your first appointment, Dr Marcus will go over the following types of braces and create a custom treatment plan designed just for you.

Metal/Traditional Braces

These braces are made from high-grade stainless steel and use metal brackets to attach to each tooth. These brackets connect with each other through a thin arch wire that creates pressure on your teeth and guide them slowly towards the correct position. These braces use colored bands which gives your child a chance to express themselves with a different for each visit.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces look and work just like traditional braces, except for the brackets that are made up of a clear, tooth colored, transparent material to blend in well with teeth. Due to their less noticeable look, these braces are a popular choice among older teenagers and adults.
